The attacker, who came in black clothes, lashed out at Salman Rushdie; alive famous writer

 Salman Rushdie was on his way to give an interview on stage when a man wearing a black cloth and mask jumped onto the stage and attacked.The people present there rushed to help them and overpowered the attacker.Rushdie lay on the ground for some five minutes.He was then picked up and airlifted to the hospital.His condition remained critical till late night.

Witnesses said it was hard to believe they didn't have enough security.The attack may have happened within seconds of the program's launch.The people present there are still in shock.A doctor watching Rushdie from the scene told the media that Rushdie had been stabbed 10 to 15 times, including on the right side of the neck.A lot of blood had gathered where Rushdie had fallen.CPR was not being given at that time and he appeared to be alive.His pulse was on.

 York State Governor Kathy Hochul said about the attack on New York Governor Rushdie, Rushdie is alive after the attack.They have been shifted to a safe place.Officials are monitoring the situation."Rushdie has spent decades speaking the truth against power, living a life of fearlessness despite threats," Hochul said.Rushdie is being treated at a local hospital, he said.Hochul said that we condemn this violent incident.

Salman Rushdie, the son of a successful businessman, was born in 1947 to a Muslim family in Mumbai.He was educated at the Rugby School in England.He studied history from Cambridge University.After finishing his studies, he went to his parents in Pakistan, where his parents shifted in the year 1964.Starting his career in the advertising world, Rushdie later became a full-time writer.His first novel 'Grimus' came out in 1975 but the readers did not take much notice.The second novel 'Midnight's Children' received the Booker Honor.
